This weekend was the Amateur and Pro race at Hangtown. They made some changes to the track to get ready for the pros and I was excited to race on the new track.
I was able to race my 85 age class and I wanted to race a second class so I also signed in to race the Supermini class. I had to race my regular 85 in the Supermini class but I had fun battling with all the faster bikes. I struggled a little on the starts and the up hills but was able to battle around fourth and fifth and finished with a 5th place overall finish.
In my 85 age class I came in second in the first race and was able to win the second race for the overall 1st place finish.
During amateur day some of the pro racers watch us ride on the track to see how the track is setting up and watch our lines. Then it was time for Pro day so I could watch them and see what lines they take.
My friends at Lucas Oil hooked up my friends and I with VIP passes and not only had a great spot to watch the races
We also had indoor seating and televisions so we were able to watch the races and stay dry even when it started to rain
My family and I had fun watching the races and hanging out with friends
Thank you Lucas Oil and Americore for hanging out with us…its always fun!
See you at the track…….
