This weekend I went to the Moto America race at Laguna Seca to watch my friend and Wienerschnitzel teammate Josh Herrin race.

Josh races for Meen Motorsports and all the guys there were really nice.

My Wienerschnitzel family was also there to watch the races.  It is always a lot of fun to get to hang out with all of them.

The team had the dogs flowing and they were so good!

We had to hike up a huge hill to watch the races and I was very glad I brought my energy with me.

The team and I all hung out together to watch the races.

Josh started out really good.  He was in 4th and battling for 3rd when his bike stopped running.  When we got back to the pits he showed me that his pipe broke and had a huge hole in the side and lost power.I wasn’t able to go back to watch him race again on Sunday but he finished on the podium and had a great race.

While I was there I also had to go visit my Yamaha team.  I said Hi to the ladies.

I also got a private VIP tour of all the Yamaha bikes from Keith McCarty who was the head mechanic for Bob Hannah and helped him win 4 championships.  He was so nice, and it was very cool to learn all about the bikes.

If I ever wanted to get on these bikes, this is the size I would start out racing.  Not a bad fit.

My family and I had a lot of fun at the races.

Always fun hanging out with the #wienerfam

I did a video blog of my day at this event.  Check it out here and if you would like to watch more videos about my life, subscribe to my youtube channel CROSS71

This weekend I went to a really cool 51 Fifty Energy Drink event.  First I met with the guys from the supercross team.  (Hayden Mellross, Tyler Bowers and Noah McConahy)  We met at A.V. Thomas Produce.

We took a picture with everyone that was working at the plant and we were all wearing blue.  A.V. Thomas and 51 Fifty Energy do a lot to help families with Autism and April is Autism Awareness Month.   Look at how many people they had in the picture.

I took a long time to get everyone in place for the picture.  The team and I stood in the front with a dirt bike and the Autism sign.

After we took some pictures, Carlos gave the team a tour of the plant and we learned a lot about how the sweet potatoes get to the stores.  I had no idea it was so huge.

And the have so many different kids of sweet potatoes.

First we saw how the machine cleans the potatoes and they get dried and hand sorted into different packages.

Then we went to another building where they were doing dry packaging.  If the potatoes are washed and packaged they don’t last as long as the ones that are packaged without being washed…..I never knew that.

In another building they had a machine that wold package individual portions that are shrink wrapped.

We also saw the storage facility that has cases and cases of potatoes that have not yet been processed.  These come straight from the farm to storage until they are processed and ready to ship to stores.

We learned that the potatoes that are scratched or broken get sold to farmers and they use them for pet food.  All of the potatoes in the fields are used someplace.

We toured the offices and met all the people behind the scenes that help get the sweet potatoes to the stores.

After the tour we went to the 51 Fifty clothing store and Fitness Center in downtown Livingston.

They have a full gym and every day from 3-6pm the place is FREE for all kids in support of the Gloves Not Drugs program.  Kids come and practice boxing so they are not getting into trouble around town.  The place was so cool.

The apparel store was having a raffle and autograph signing so we all got ready to sign autographs.

It was really fun to say HI to everyone, sign autographs and take pictures.  Everyone was very nice.

And of course I had fun hanging out with the 51 Fifty Energy Drink Girls.

This last weekend we left to go to the 2x Promotion race in Mammoth Mountain.  When we got to Mammoth the first thing we have to do is figure out the jetting on my bike because the altitude is so high the bikes run completely different.  Since I had won the King Of The West Championship, I had new graphics for my bike with red backgrounds on my number plates. My bike looked really sick!

image

After working on the bikes, we tried to get used to the altitude.  We went for a walk and even had a friendly game of “who can throw the pinecone the farthest”  I got close, but I think a few of the other players may have cheated a little – Todd.

image

When I got to the track, I found out that I had my picture in the event program.

image

Then it was time to start practice.  Look at that bike…..RED, white, and BLUE!

image

Practice went well.  My Dad worked on fine tuning the jetting and the guys from Thousand Oaks Yamaha even helped get my bike running perfect.

image

The Mammoth race is a little different than any other race because there is so many racers in each class.

  • We have two divisions and the finish of the division races determines your gate pick for the main event.
  • If you don’t transfer from the division race they have an LCQ race to give you a second chance to get into the main.
  • The main event is the finish for the day.
  • We repeat the entire race day, the same way, the second day to get day two finishes.
  • Then they give an overall finish for both days combined.

Mammoth1

Day 1 I got 2nd and 1st in 85 9-12 and 4th and 4th in Mini Sr 1.  At the awards ceremony that night not only did I get the famous “BIG BEAR”

Mammoth5

I also got my custom Americore SMX scooter for winning the King Of The West….  See there are two #71 scooters because I was able to get both championships.

mammoth3

Day 2 I got 1st in both my heat races but had bad luck in both of my main event races.  In one race my bike was not handling well enough to let me get through the corners as fast as I wanted to and I was only able to pull out a 3rd place finish.  In the other race I had my bike handling better and I was heading to the front and and the bike in front of me went down and my bike got stuck in his bike.  I was able to race back from last place to 12th place.  I finished with an overall 2nd and 6th place.

image

Off the track we had a lot of fun at the Americore SMX and Lucas Oil Bowling Tournament.

image

All my friends from the track bowled but we should all stick to racing dirt bikes because we didn’t do very well.

image

It was really cool to have a lot of my sponsors at the track to support me and cheer me on for each race.

image

And they were on the podium with me after the race to congratulate me.

image

All my friends and sponsors also showed me a lot of support on social media.  Here are just a few of the posts……

imageimageimageimageimageimage

Thank you to all my sponsors who have supported me and continue to help me do what I love.  Now its time to get ready for Loretta Lynn’s.

I had to take some mandatory time off and this is why…….

The Cal Classic at Pala started out awesome!  My Wienerschnitzel family hooked me up with the Wienerbago.  My parents and I got to live in the Wienerbago for the weekend.

image

It was really fun staying in the hauler.  Everyone at the track loved The Delicious One on the side of the wienerbago and they were taking pictures with him.  Wait, who’s that inside the window?  lol

image

I thought since my Wienerfam hooked me up for the weekend I would make a special dirt bike with new numbers.  What do you think of this 71?  The bike was a huge hit!

image

Practice started off great and I felt really good on the bike.

image

My Dad had my bike handling and running great.

image

During my last practice the rider in front of me fell and I had no place to go but right over the bars.  I got up and thought I was ok, but as soon as I moved my arm I felt something and Mom and I were on our way to the doctor.

image

My blood pressure was 117 over 71 which you would think was a lucky number for me but the doctor said I couldn’t get back on my bike.  I was so frustrated because I was excited to have some good battles and now I had to hang out and watch.

image

I felt really bad for the Wienerfam that came out to watch me race and didn’t get to see any races.

image

Until next time…..

image

Saturday was the supercross race at Santa Clara and I went with my family.

image

The guys at Yamaha set up a meeting with Chad Reed and I.  He was so nice!  We talked about racing and his kids and took some time to take a few pictures.

image

I hung out with the 51 Fifty Energy Drink girls

imageimage

51 Fifty does a lot for families with autism.  It was World Autism Awareness Day and they invited a local family to the supercross race for an all access experience.  I got to meet the family, and they were having so much fun.  I met Adam on the track walk and when we got back to the 51 Fifty pit we got to take a picture together.

image

I had a ton of fun with my #wienerfam.  We went on the track walk which was very cool.  I was surprised how many huge rocks were in the dirt on the track and the rutts and jumps were huge.

imageimage

Chili-Dog is a 10 week old puppy (Wienerschnitzel mascot) that went on the track walk with us.  He is awesome but he slept through most of the day.

imageimage

Later in the night we rode back down on the track in the wiener truck for the wienercross race.

image

The wienercross race is so much fun.  The dogs each wear a number and go in a gate on the starting line.

image

When the gate opens the dogs run across the track to their owners.  People love these races….everyone in our suite had money on which dog was going to win.  Chili did race across the track behind the other dogs for a practice race, he is still in training.

imageimage

Of course before I went back to watching the races I had to get a picture with “The Delicious One”

image

In our suite we had our own party going on. #livethemadness

imageimage

We even had the Moonshine Bandits “rocking out” with us.

image

I have to thank all my sponsors for giving me and my family the VIP experience at the race.

Yamaha   –   51 Fifty Energy Drink   –   Wienerschnitzel

Even though we got home really late from the races, we got up early on Sunday and I got back to work.  Time to practice, its only a few more years till I am down on the supercross starting line.

image

I am a very luck kid and I have so many people who support me and my racing!  I am very thankful and appreciative of all the support that allows me to continue racing each week.  A few of my sponsors have been getting me ready for my upcoming races……..

boxes

I met with 51 Fifty Energy Drink and we signed our new contract.  51 Fifty is one of my very first sponsors and have always been there for me.  Their energy drinks are amazing!  The people who work for the company are like family!  …and they give so much to local charities including kids with Autism.  I look forward to my  continued relationship with 51 Fifty Energy Drink!!!!

image

This week we got a box in the mail from Yamaha.  My family and I got our team shirts in the mail.  They are very cool!  I have been riding 85 Yamaha’s since the beginning and to have factory support on the bike that I love is very lucky.  I have done some amazing things with Yamaha on and off the track already and I look forward to more moving forward.

image

Fly has such amazing gear!  Fly has the best gear, helmets and gloves.  I love the colors and designs and they are so easy to work with.  The summer gear that has all the air holes for when it gets hot is amazing.  I got a special delivery with some new gear lines and colors that you are all going to love….wait till you see me at the track.

image

As you know….my favorite food is hot dogs.  I was very excited when Wienerschnitzel decided to sponsor and support me.  Everyone on and off the track has been asking when we are going to go get hot dogs.   I look forward to many more hot dogs in my future!

image

This week I got a box in the mail from Nihilo.  I am part of the Nihilo Tribe and I got all the coolest accessories for my new bikes.  Nihilo has everything you need to bling out your bike, you have to check them out.  I can’t wait to see my bike next week on the line.

image

Mika Metals has come out with new bars.  They are fatter than the normal bars I usually have on my bike and are made to hold up better in big crashes.  I have had a lot of people notice them and ask me about them.  If you don’t have the new fat bars, you have to check them out!

oct3

I have to give a shot out to 2X Promotions.  The race this last weekend through the rain and everyone was finished before the big storm hit the track.  We raced the Road to Mammoth race at DT1 and the weather was coming in fast.  2X Promotions was able to run the race with a ton of riders and they got it finished faster than normal.  The DT1 track held up great with the weather.  I was able to leave the weekend with three 1st place finishes.

image

I know that my sponsors have many options and I want to thank each of them for choosing to offer me support.

THANK YOU….Yamaha bLUcRU, 51 Fifty Energy Drink, Wienerschnitzel, 2X Promotions, Fly Gear, Nihilo Tribe, Mika Metals, Dunlop, Von Zipper, Thousand Oaks Powersports, Americore SMX, Acerbis, Crushed MX, Lucas Oil

I am so excited to announce my new sponsor……WIENERSCHNITZEL!  All of you that know me, know that chili dogs are my favorite.  I am obsessed with Wienerschnitzel and now I am part of the #wienerfam.

image

Yesterday I got the biggest Chili Cheese Fries Ever…….

image

I love the box!  But it was not a Chili Cheese Fry, it was a box of goodies for me.  lol

image

I am excited to have “THE BIG W” on the side of my bike and be able to share it with all of you.  I love all my new hats, which one is your favorite?

Oakland 7

…and they have the best tag line ever….

“World’s Most Wanted Wiener!”

This weekend was the Supercross race in Oakland and it didn’t rain but it was really cold.  It was so much fun to see so many of my friends and sponsors and get to watch some great racing.

Oakland 8

I loved hanging out with my 51 Fifty and of course the hot girls!Oakland 2

I even arm wrestled with one of the girls.  The guys told me after that I was supposed to let the girl win….but I didn’t.

Oakland 9

When I wasn’t hanging out with the girls I was catching up with the guys also.

image

It was awesome to be able to watch my 51 Fifty teammates race.  Zack Bell and Hayden Mellross

Oakland 1

Racing for Yamaha has so many great things but when I hang out with the JGR team…..they have Wienerschnitzel.  As you all know from past posts chili dogs are my favorite!

Oakland 7

I got to eat my hot dogs and hang out with some of my sponsors from Von Zipper.

Great day of hanging with my awesome Sponsors, Wienershnitzel, and Racing….

What could be better?

This last weekend my Cousin took a picture of my Yamaha commercial that was played at Supercross on the big screen.

Hunter at supercross

When I posted a picture my cousin took I had a lot of people asking how they could see my commercial so I thought I would post some of my past tv work.  I thought it would be fun to even post some of my videos from way back…

This is the commercial they played at Supercross.  It is mostly of the Pro Yamaha riders with a short clip of me talking.  In this commercial, I am not riding any of the bikes.

This is another commercial for the Yamaha YZ85 and the entire thing is of me on the bike.

This is a commercial for the Yamaha TTR125.  This is a trail bike and not a race bike.  The entire video is also of me riding.

This is a commercial I did many years ago for Motovision Goggles and it shows me racing on a KTM 65

This is a promo ad for a TV show that I recorded several years ago.  The TV show is about different extreme sports and it features me riding on my KTM 65.

Hope you enjoy some of my TV and Commercial videos and I hope I have a chance to do lots more soon.  Thank you to all my sponsors who allowed me to be a part of these great videos….looking forward to doing more…..

A few weeks ago I got a fed ex package in the mail…… It was my 2016 contract with Yamaha!  I had a lot of papers to read and sign which allows me to be a Factory bLUcRU rider again in 2016.  Yamaha and I have been talking about riding for them again in 2016 but I am VERY excited to make it official and be able to tell everyone about it now.
blog41

Last year when I announced that I was riding for Yamaha we had a “blue” party…. you can read about it here BLUE PARTY

This year things were crazy and my Aunt Cheryl was in the hospital so I told all my family and friends but we didn’t have a party.  My Aunt had my family get blue masks and some other things to surprise me at the hospital.

1blog993

Even though my Aunt has not been feeling well she still wanted to celebrate my bLUcRU contract.  Thank you Aunt Cheryl!

1blog992

I love the blue masks…..I tried to wear it to school but my teachers were not happy with them.  I don’t know why?

blog42

I am very comfortable on my Yamaha and I am excited to start another year of racing.

Last weekend was the 51Fifty Energy Drink Rock and Ride for Autism.  Every year 51 Fifty puts on a Harley Ride and Concert featuring the Moonshine Bandits and it is all to raise awareness and money for Autism.  This year my parents went early to take one of my bikes for the display.

51507

They also got to go on the Harley ride with our friend Gary.  They had a ton of bikes and at each stop they got to pick a card for their poker hands….. none of them picked very good cards and they didn’t win anything.

51503

I got to the party after the Harley ride and we waited for the concert to start…. and took pictures with some of the 51Fifty girls.

51508

The concert was fun for the whole family!  DJ Chopsticks and The Moonshine Bandits had the crowed rocking out and dancing for hours and then we got to hang out with them after…..they are so funny!

51506

My parents and I had so much fun hanging with my 51Fifty family and the Moonshine Bandits.

51501

Thank you 51 Fifty for all you do for our local community and Autism!

This week I met with 51 Fifty Energy Drink to shoot part of a video they have coming out soon.  I can’t give away to much information but I can tel you that I will be featured in one part of the video.  I thought I would share a little behind the scenes with my part of the video.

video4

This video was a little more about me then the other videos/TV things I have done in the past.  They wanted me to be a little more like myself then to do something scripted.  51 Fifty Energy Drink is all about being who you are and having fun while you are doing that.  We had so much fun!

video1

Of course I will have a close up and you will all get to see my fabulous face.  lol

video3

….and footage of me on my bike.

video6

Thank you 51 Fifty for letting me be a part of you team and up coming video

I will post the video when it is released!

This weekend I put a picture on Facebook and Instagram announcing that I was signing a 2015 contract.  I asked if anyone could guess what I was signing.

yami8

Did you guess what I was signing?

yami7

If you guessed THOUSAND OAKS POWERSPORTS and YAMAHA… You are correct!

yami2yami1

I met with the guys from Thousand Oaks Powersports and we went over a contract with them and Yamaha for the 2015 race season.  After I spoke with the guys at the shop and we talked about the 2015 season I signed my contract.

yami6

We put the contract in an envelope so we could mail it into Yamaha.

yami3

I am so excited to be working with the guys at Thousand Oaks Motorsports and it is so cool to have the chance to ride some new Yamaha’s.  I have always rode Yamaha 85’s, but haven’t ever had new bikes.  Exciting things to come from me, Yamaha, and Thousand Oaks.

yami4

Can you say BLUE CREW!!!!

51 Fifty Energy Drink has come out with a new flavor and a new drink line.  You have tried their energy drinks (regular, sugar free, and extreme)

51507

51 Fifty is now making an energy drink combined with a sports drink…….The new Berry flavored energy drink has ELECTROLYTES, VITAMINS and NATURAL HERBS.  This drink is like a sport drink with energy, so cool.

51503

The Non-Carbonated Berry flavor is soooooo good!  I can’t get enough, my favorite flavor.

51506

Just like all the 51 Fifty Energy drinks, part of the proceeds of the new Berry Vitamin flavor goes to help families with kids battling autism.

Last week I picked up my new helmet.  It is a custom 51 Fifty Energy Drink Helmet that was painted by Lufo’s Kustom Designs.

helmet6

The helmet is so sick!

helmet8helmet7helmet9

Just like the Supercross helmets, but just for……    CROSS

helmet10

The 51 Fifty Supercross Team racers have the same helmet that Lufo painted for me.  He rushed to paint it and get it back to me in time for my Mammoth race, but unfortunately I got hurt and didn’t get to race that one.  I am hoping to get to use it for the first time at the Loretta Lynn National Race.

I’ve been doing a little practicing at some of the tracks around my house but it was time to get a race in.  This week was the Hangtown Outdoor Motocross race and they have an amateur day that lets riders like me race on the same track that the pros race on.  Most of the kids that I raced with also raced the day before in the 85cc class, but I only got to ride on the track once the morning of the race.  I really liked the track, they brought in some different dirt and changed up several sections.

hangtowntrack

My Dad had to work so my Mom was the mechanic for the day.  Dad worked all night getting everything ready on the bikes so everything should be ready to go for the race.  We got one 15 minute practice first thing in the morning and then it was time to line up and race.  We had to pick a number and that was the gate we had to start from.  My gate pick was in a really good spot, but the line going out was really bad.  My Mom and I packed the gate, but we didn’t do as good of a job as my Dad usually does.  When the gate dropped I took off really good but my bike did a huge wheelie and went sideways.  I tried to hold on the gas the best I could but I had to give up a little to get the bike back under control.  I ended up starting the race pretty far away from all the other riders.

hangtown2013 009

I was able to battle past some of the riders but the leader got out to far and I wasn’t able to get close enough to even try to battle with him.  I finished the first moto in 2nd place.  After the race my Mom and I watched some of the other races and then we got ready for race number two.

hangtown2013 090

The second race we got the second gate pick and I picked a better gate.  In the second race I again got off the line good but my stock bike was not nearly as fast as some of the other mod bikes and I was in the back again.  (I was trying to work in my new stock bike for some big races we have coming up)

hangtown2013 101

The second race was a lot like the first race and I went from last to 2nd place.

hangtown2013 087

The trophy was really cool because they put my name on it and a picture of me.

1

The next day we went back to Hangtown to watch the pro race.  It was really fun watching the pro’s ride on the track and see what lines they were taking.  I was able to compare how I rode in my race to how they were racing.  We had to leave the race a little early because my sister Hailey was going to prom with some of the special needs kids that she teaches and my parents were going to the 51 Fifty Energy Drink fundraiser casino night.  I wasn’t allowed to go because it was for adults only but my Mom took a lot of pictures of the place for me and it looked really cool.

carlos2carlos1carlos3

They had lots of cars and bikes outside under the tent and inside they had cars in the middle of the casino tables and dirt bikes in the middle of tables.

carlos5carlos7carlos9

My Dad and my Grandpa wanted to make me jealous and they took pictures with some of the 51 Fifty girls.  Mom and Dad also took a picture in front of the 51 Fifty picture banner.

carlos4carlos6carlos8

It was not good that I couldn’t go to the 51 Fifty Energy casino night, because it looked really fun.  I’m glad a lot of people went to the event because it raised a lot of money for a lot of different charities.  The Carlos Vieira Foundation helps raise money for many different people:  Race for Autism, Race to be Drug Free, Gloves not Drugs, etc.

carlos13carlos12carlos14Go to www.carlosvieirafoundation.org to learn more about how you can help these charities.

…..and I continue to race and ride.

A few weeks ago at the track, Americore started selling their new dirt scooters…..they are so cool!

2

They are better than the old scooters that we used to use because they have big tires so we can ride them in rocks and dirt.  When I rode the old scooters I would fall if I hit a little rock on the sidewalk, and now we were able to ride these in the dirt.

8

The tires are really big and it is fun to jump on them and do tricks.

3

Americore also makes a personalized front plate for the scooters.  When we had them all laying outside the trailers, it was easy for everyone to find which one was theirs.  I love anything with my number on it….the front plate rocks!

I also want to give a special respect to Heath Cunha who passed away February 17, 2013 at the age of 42.  Although I didn’t know Heath, I know several members of the Cunha family…they are an amazing family and we are very sorry for the loss of their Brother, Uncle, Husband, Father, and Friend.

Since I am still hurt I can’t ride my dirt bike, but with only one arm I can’t do many things.  This last weekend my family went to Stockton 99 Raceway.  The 51 Fifty Energy Drink car and all the guys were at the track racing so I knew I would have fun cheering them on.  On the way to the track my sister Hailey and I rocked out to music.

car5

When we got to the track I saw the 51 Fifty girls and we took some pictures.

car6

The races were really fun and we saw a lot of different kids of cars race.  I was excited for the main event to watch and cheer on the 51 Fifty team.  Carlos qualified 5th and was in second place in the beginning of the race.  His car was a little loose and he fell back to 5th.  The 6th place car was also loose and he bumped Carlos in turn 1 and 2 and in turn 3 and 4 he pushed him again but this time Carlos went into the wall.  Part of the car broke and he was not able to continue in the race.  I was sad he wasn’t able to finish, but the racing was still really good and fun to watch.

car7

After the race was over I went into the pits to see everyone on the team.

car2

It was really fun to see everyone on the team.  I don’t get a chance to see the guys very often because I am usually racing or practicing, but when I am hurt I get to say Hi to everyone.

car3

The tool box the guys use is really cool, but it has an awesome sticker on the side of it.  I love this sticker!

car4

It was nice seeing everyone, good luck at the next race!

If you guys like all kinds of racing, make sure you find out when they will be at a track near you and stop by and say Hi.

This weekend I raced the AMP/GFI race at Oatfield in Turlock.  We loaded up the trailer on Friday and headed to Oatfield to camp and race for the weekend……my sister Hailey came with us this weekend, and it was very cool that she was there to cheer me on.

oat5

When we woke up Saturday morning the track was totally foggy.  When I went out for my first practice my goggles were dripping with water after just one lap.  It was very hard to practice when you couldn’t see very far in front of you.  By the time my second practice came around, the sun came out and I was ready to really start going.  I had a good day of practice and when we were done, I ran around with my friends the rest of the afternoon.

oat2

Sunday morning I was the second race of the day and almost the last race of the day.   Some fast kids showed up and I was excited to have some great battles.  In each race I got off the gate good and I had to work the first lap to get out front.  In all 4 races I was able to get out front and take the lead……but,

oat3

In the first 65 open race I crashed really hard in the lead and my bike and I flew different directions.  I was able to run to my bike, pick it up, start it, and get back going and finish in 2nd place.  Because I finished the next race in 1st place, I finished the day with a 1st place overall win in the class.

The two 65cc Intermediate races I finished with 1-1 and took a 1st place overall win in that class as well.

oat4

My two 1st Place trophies

I had a lot of fun racing and hanging with my family and friends!

oat1

On Saturday during practice I filmed the last parts of the TV commercial for MotoVision Goggles.  I saw parts of the footage, and you guys are going to love it!  Tylar and Max from STILLPOINT Productions are doing an amazing job with the video, audio, and pictures.  I had a lot of fun working with them and I can’t wait to show you all the commercial…..it is coming soon!

While I was at Oakland Supercross I had a chance to interview some of the members of the 51 Fifty Energy Drink Supercross team.  I have so much fun with everyone on the team they are all super nice guys!  Preston Mull and Preston Tilford both got injured right before the season began but Scott Champion and Chris Plouffe have been doing great this season and getting better finishes each week.

71:  How did you first get started on a dirt bike?

78:  My Dad bought me a PW50 when I was 4.  That’s how I got started.  He used to race.

71:  What was your first pro ride and how did you get it?

78:  It was in 2008 and I heard of a team that had a hurt rider so I called them.  They told me to come out and they would watch me ride so I did that and they signed a contract with me the next day.

71:  What is something people might be surprised to know about you?

78:  They might be surprised to know that I didn’t really race that much growing up.  I just kinda rode in the desert and had fun riding.  That is something that the kids I’m racing against didn’t do, they were racing every weekend.

71:  Do you have any tattoos?

78:  Yes I have 2 tattoos on my arm.  I got this one, it’s a guardian angel holding a cross.  I also have one up here (pointing to the top of his arm) that me and my Dad and my Grandpa all got and it says “Born a Champion”.

71:  Do you have any pets?

78:  No I don’t have any pets, I’m allergic to dogs and cats.  I wish I could.

71:  How did you first get started on a dirt bike?

98:  My Dad rode back in his day and got me my first bike when I turned 2 and ever since then I’ve been hooked.

71:  What advice would you give kids like me that want to get where you are?

98:  Keep practicing…..practice, practice, practice.  That is the only way you are going to get better.  Do some racing and keep going from there.

71:  Do you have any pets?

98:  I have 3 dogs.  I have a little chihuahua named Tobie, I have a golden retriever named Zoie and another golden retriever named Rosie.

71:  Do you have any tattoos?

98:  No tattoos for me, I’m clean.

PRESTON MULL  # 565

photo (38)

71:  How did you first get started on a dirt bike?

565:  I first got started on my 2nd birthday when my Uncle gave me a PW50.

.         71:  Nice Uncle

.         565:  I know right!

71:  What advice would you give kids like me that want to get where you are?

565:  If you want to get where I’m at you just gotta go for it.  You gotta be willing to put in the work because at the end of the day it’s the hard work you put in and how hard you try when you are out there that gets you out front.  Anyone can have the nicest stuff but if you don’t have the drive and the desire to do the best you possible can everytime you go out there….there is no point in being out there unless you want to better yourself.

71:  What was your first pro ride and how did you get it?

565:  I would say my first pro ride is this one, getting to ride for 51 Fifty.  I lucked into it being from the hometown and having a good solid outdoor season and having good finishes all year.

71:  Is there anything people would be surprised to know about you?

565:  I don’t think so, I think everyone knows I’m a pretty weird person.

71:  Do you have any pets?

565:  I have Summer…can I see the dog real quick.  This is Summer

photo (4)

71:  What is your favorite sport other than Motocross?

565:  There are other sports?  Ha, Ha, Ha

71:  Where you home schooled?

565:  No I went to school all the way through High School.

71:  What is your worst and most favorite track.

565:  Worst track Highpoint.  I don’t know why not a fan of Highpoint.  Favorite track? Dude there are so many fun tracks, I like Hollister or just the local sand track by the river by my house…anything is fun.  Any day at the track is a good day.

– – – – – BEHIND THE SCENES – – – – –

Many people are involved to put together the 51 Fifty Energy Drink Supercross team….  I know my self and the rest of the guys on the team are very greatful for the support and efforts that everyone on the team puts in for us.

Joe Cordeiro (Team Manager)

Joe is always very helpful and supportive to the team and I.  He has built a Supercross team from the ground up, in a very short amount of time, and has done a great job navigating the wants and needs of the entire team.  We all appreciate your continued hard work for us!

SX6

Carlos Vieira (Team Owner)

Carlos main passion is giving back!  He is a long time car racer that has always helped raise money for Childrens Hospital.  In 2009 Carlos started a fundraising campaign called Race for Autism to help families living with Autism….throughout the season he donated all his race winnings and held several events to increase awareness and help raise money.  Carlos founded 51 Fifty Energy Drinks and continues to give back in many ways…..51Fifty has sponsored many local people in motocross, boxing, music, cheer, BMX, fishing, boarding, and more.  Thank you Carlos for all your help and support!

THANK YOU

CARLOS, JOE and the entire 51 FIFTY ENERGY DRINK team!

Buy 51 Fifty Energy Drinks….. and help support local athletes like me and a percentage of all sales goes to the Carlos Vieira Foundation which directly helps families living with Autism.

A lot has happened this week!  First I am still trying to get better from being sick.  Over the last week some days I feel OK and then the next day I feel sick again…fingers crossed that this week gets better.

RACE

On Saturday I went to Argyll MX to race.  Because of Super Bowl Sunday, no other races were going on, and everyone showed up for the Saturday CMC race.  The race went well and I had fun battling with my friends on the track and hanging out off the track.  My starts were a little off in the beginning of the day but I kept improving each race and by the end of the day I got the starts I wanted.  The track got really rough towards the end of the day, but my Dad made some changes to my suspension and he made my bike easier to handle.  I finished with a 2nd place finish in 65 Open and a 1st place finish in 65 Intermediate.

Todd Lyle got pictures of everyone that was at the race.  Make sure you check out his website at see some great pictures – http://www.toddlylephotography.com

MOTOVISION GOGGLES TV COMMERCIAL

During the race on Saturday Motovision Goggles was filming a TV Commercial that will be shown on SPEED and Fuel TV and they asked me to be a part of it.

mv7

It was really cool to have the chance to film for TV again, and I was excited to help tell people about Motovision.  The goggles not only look really cool but they have special scratch resistant lenses and they have a recording camera built-in.  Instead of wearing a camera on top of your helmet, the Motovision Goggles have a camera that also has a noise suppressed microphone which cuts out the wind noise.  Make sure you look for the commercial coming out soon and go to http://www.motovisiongoggles.com to get your high impact HD goggles.

PRACTICE

Sunday I left early in the morning to go to MMX to practice and my Dad did more testing on my bikes.  We got to the track so early that it was all foggy and when I rode my goggles were dripping with water.  The sun came out and I was able to ride on both tracks each hour and get a lot of practice in.  My Dad made changes to my bike and we worked on different things to help me in the races.  After practice we headed home to watch the Super Bowl.

GEAR AND PARTS

This week I also got two surprises in the mail.  The guys at 51 Fifty Energy Drinks hooked me up with some really awesome companies that wanted to help me with my racing.

MIKA METALS hooked me up with some handlebars, sprockets and chains.  Mika Metals sells handlebars engineered to flex and built to last.  They also sell lightweight chains and aluminum sprockets.

mika2

I got a box filled with lots of spare parts to keep me going throughout the year.  When you are looking for new handlebars, chains, or sprockets check out http://www.mikametals.com

FLY RACING also hooked me up with some really sick gear, gloves and helmet.  Fly Racing offers a wide range of competition clothing, gloves, helmets, tools and more.  The Fly Racing company provides equipment for many different sports like snow, water, BMX, street, casual and moto.

fly 2

I am very thankful that the people at FLY RACING also wanted to help me with their cool products.  I can’t wait to rock everything from head to toe…..I know I will look so FLY like always! 🙂   Make sure you check out the awesome designs, colors, and products that Fly Racing has at http://www.flyracing.com

OK, so I know that we decided I wasn’t going to be a singer and I should stick to dirt bikes after my last song HUNTER CROSS CRAZY ABOUT 51 FIFTY ENERGY DRINK……but I decided I should try a second music video.

Now that I have made two music videos I am wondering if I should have a cool name like the guys on the radio…..What do you think my name should be?

  • MC MOTOCROSS
  • SUPERCROSS
  • LL COOL H
  • DR CROSS
  • HARDCORE HUNTER
  • 71 CENT
  • ????????

This second music video is my take on the LMFAO song that works great with my dirt bikes.

Since I am not on the track supporting my 51FIFTY team I thought I would be like Dale and Brennan from the Step Brothers movie and MAKE A MUSIC VIDEO…..prestigue world wide!

I took 7 songs that are currently on the radio, I changed some of the words to fit the drink and put it all together.

  • THE LAZY SONG – Burno Mars
  • CALL ME MAYBE – Carly Rae Jepsen
  • AIRPLANES – B.O.B featuring Eminem
  • I WANT YOU BACK – Cher Lloyd
  • YOU DON’T KNOW YOU’RE BEAUTIFUL – One Direction
  • 5-1-5-0 – Dierks Bentley
  • I THINK I WANNA MARRY YOU – Burno Mars

I HOPE YOU ENJOY MY ACTING AND SINGING

….I promise I will stick with dirt bikes as soon as my arm is better.

51 FIFTY Energy Drink just came out with a commercial…..Feel the MACA!

What is MACA? MACA is a herb with tons of nutrients to enrich the function of the whole body. The MACA herb has wonderful anti-aging and sexual-enhancing properties and it is also chocked full of vitamins, minerals, and amino acids including calcium and iron.

Check out the “Feel the MACA” video below.

I have to talk to 51 FIFTY about casting…..I don’t know why I wasn’t asked to play the boyfriend. 🙂

Feel the Madness!

Those of you who watch me ride often know that there has been a difference in the way I ride recently. Usually my bikes are really hard to control on the track and I always look like I am working a lot harder than some of the other kids. I have had every suspension company known work on my bikes and I always have the same problems. I just learned how to ride with a bike that’s always out of control.

Recently I was soooo lucky to have Matt from BOSS CYCLE SPORTS work on my bikes. I didn’t know that the suspension could be so smooth. My bikes feel so different that it is like riding a completely different bike. I have had people watching me say I look really smooth on my bike….which is because I usually never look smooth.

I could never thank BOSS Cycle Sports enough!

Anyone looking for some help with your bikes you have to give them a call at 209-526-BIKE and the are located in Modesto.

You could also follow them on Facebook at BOSS Cycle Sports

Give Matt a call and give him a chance to help you look like a BOSS !

NEW GRAPHICS

This weekend was the pro outdoor race in Sacramento……Hangtown National.  I raced the amateur day on the National track the day before the pros raced.  Before the race Moto Efx hooked me up with my new graphics and they looked so sick.

DAY ONE

I was racing the 65cc ages 6-11.  I was really excited to race and while we were getting ready to get on the track, we were watching the pro riders come in and check out the track.  It was really cool to race and have the pro’s watch us.  We saw riders like Stewart and Alessi and while I was on the line to race, Mike Alessi came down and he gave all of us a high-five, wished us luck and gave us all advice about the race.

In the first 65 race I started towards the front and as I was completing the first lap I was working on making a pass for the lead…..when I fell down.  I rushed to get back up and was pushed all the way back to seventh place.  I had to ride really hard to try to race back to the front.  I thought I was going to be able to get back into second place, but I ran out of laps and I finished the first race in 3rd place.

In the second race the track was really rough and it was so fun.  I was able to get the hole shot and I was in the lead.  On the third lap I came out of a turn to hit a double and my back tire was hopping over the bumps so hard that I couldn’t get any traction leading up to the jump and I didn’t have enough speed and crashed really hard.  I got up fast and was able to get back to second place……I finished the day in 2nd place overall.  I really wanted to finish in first, but falling twice and finishing in second was not too bad……I really have to work on not falling!

DAY TWO

We got up early and headed back to the track for day two and to watch the Pros race.  The place was packed and all the riders were there….we even saw Ryan Villapoto who was there to watch the races.

The 51 Fifty Energy Drink team was there and they looked amazing.  The hauler was all set up, all five bikes and helmets were wrapped with Moto Efx Graphics, and all the boys had new 51 Fifty Energy Drink riding gear.  Since I raced at the track the day before, I had my bike and trophy at the hauler on display and it looked cool next to the other guys bikes.

I had fun all day watching some really fun races and hanging out with all the team riders.  The guys were all so cool, we talked a lot about riding and they even gave me some tips that I will definitely be using when I ride.  Thank you…..Ryan Rangel, Brandon Rangel, Preston Mull, Preston Tilford, and Chris Plouffe

See my cool new jersey!

I want to really thank Carlos and Joe from 51 Fifty Energy Drink and Larry and Dave from Moto Efx Graphics for everything they have done for me.  It was so much fun to hang out with everyone, and thanks for making me feel like I was part of the team.

In my last post I said I was going to add some pictures of me riding at MMX, but when I got the pictures I thought they needed a separate post.

These pictures have the best color I have ever seen in a dirt bike picture.  The pictures were taken by Sebastian Lee and he does amazing work.  As I was looking through his web page, I couldn’t find a bad picture of anyone……maybe he has some shots of you.  He goes to tracks all over Northern and Southern California and you can view some of his pictures at  www.sebimagery.com

and just a few more…

Make sure you LIKE his facebook page at www.facebook.com/sebimagery/    You want to make sure you know the next place he will be taking pictures at and see if you can find a shot of yourself……he goes everywhere!

THANK YOU SEBASTION!

This weekend Moto Efx and 51 Fifty Energy Drink invited me to be a support rider at the Over The Hill Gang race at Oatfield.

I had never been to an over the hill gang event before.  They had a ton of people at the event, but not many support riders.

It was really cool because I had never been on the track with so few riders before.  I got to have fun and work on several different lines.

Thank you Dave and the Moto Efx guys for inviting me to be a part of the 51 Fifty Energy/Over The Hill Gang ride day.

Last month I went on vacation to Mexico and I made sure to pack my 51 Fifty Energy Drinks……They were a huge hit!

LIVE THE MADNESS !

Saturday I spent the day helping my Dad work on bikes and we started packing to go to the World Mini Grand Prix that was coming up.  Saturday afternoon my Dad took me to Stockton 99 Speedway to cheer on Larry from MotoEfx and Carlos from 51 Fifty Energy Drink.  The race was soooo fun!  Larry and Carlos gave us pit passes and I got to hang out with the teams.

MOTO EFX:  Larry and the Moto Efx team had wrapped like every car and hauler that was in the pits.  The whole place looked amazing with the coolest graphics.  Larry’s rider, Jacob Gomes who drives the number 16 Sunnyvalley Meats car, made the race look too easy.  He qualified first but because of the starting draw he started the race in fourth.  Before long he took the lead and never looked back.  Larry and his family let me hang out in the center of the track with them and I even got to wear the ear phones to listen to the team communication.  THANK YOU MOTOEFX!

51 FIFTY: Carlos is the driver for the 51 Fifty Energy Drink car and he drove the wheels off his car.  The team had problems with the car just before practice and got no testing time on the track.  He was able to pull out a thirteenth qualifying position which was amazing.  Carlos definitely passed the most cars of the night.  The track was really difficult to pass on and Carlos battled all the way to fifth.  What an amazing drive to the front!  After the race I hung out in the pits more with the teams and before I left Carlos hooked me up with banners and drinks to take to the World Mini Grand Prix.  THANK YOU 51 FIFTY!

THANK YOU LARRY – MOTO EFX

THANK YOU CARLOS – 51 FIFTY ENERGY DRINK

A couple of weeks ago I got a phone call from a reporter at THE PRESS.  The Press is a newspaper publication that is delivered each Friday to every home and business in Discovery Bay, Brentwood, Antioch, Oakley and surrounding areas.  With over 65,000 papers delivered to each door, as well as local business’, the paper is well-known in East Contra Costa County.

After a short interview, the reporter said he was going to review my website and write a story for the next edition of the paper.  The next Friday I had a half page write-up in the paper, and two weeks later the story re-ran again.

I want to thank The Press for writing the article and for mentioning my website.  I love riding dirt bikes and I love to share it with everyone.

The new Moto Efx catalog is out and guess who is in it ?

ME !!!!

Sorry these pictures are so bad, the real ones look great…..but you can get the idea.

You guys have to check out their graphics, they do a great job and my bikes look so sick!  If you are looking for something different, make sure you give them a call and also add them as a friend on your facebook page so you can keep up on what is new.

And they also have hot girls that they do photo shoots with…lol

Part 6 of 7

DAY SIX (Friday) – 3 RACES

Day six was another full day of racing with three races spread throughout the day.

The first race was my 65 Stock.   I battled with some kids and finished up in 7th place.

The second race was 50 Stock and it was another great race with a 4th place finish.

The last race of the day was 65 Mod.  I did fall over in a turn, but was able to get back up and get all but one of my spots back to finish in 7th place.

After my races, I watched the Pro’s race.  They were so fast, it was really cool to watch them ride.  This is a picture of me with Eric McCrummen #104 when he went into the top 5 tent after his race…Good job Eric!

My sponsor, Moto Efx, was at every race to support me and cheer me on.  On Friday they had some girls at their booth and I took some pictures with them.

Thank you Moto Efx for all your support!

TO BE CONTINUED………………

The guys at Moto Efx finished my graphics and they look AMAZING!  The combination of the blue and the pink (my favorite) looks so cool.  My bike looked awesome under the lights at the San Jose night race on Saturday and I am sure the graphics helped me race to a double win.   See more information from the race at 408MX SPRINT IMS RACE.

THANKS MOTO EFX

MotoEfx has some really different cool designs for their dirt bike graphics, I just got mine on my bike and they look amazing!
